Lou Dacques Band

 Located at NCCC Malone campus.

Admission: $10 general public, free to NCCC students.

"The Lou Dacques Band," is comprised of four musicians, Michael Lamitie (vocals, acoustic & electric guitar, harp, resonator guitar, and percussion), Nick Poupore (vocals, acoustic & electric guitars, and mandolin), Dave Bish (bass, and vocals) and Theresa Reome (percussion and vocals).

Our music consists of original songs, and our own arrangements of folk, blues and classic rock covers.

We have an eclectic group of musicians with a wide range of musical interests. The age range is 22 to 67. This creates an interesting creative atmosphere because of the varied life experiences and musical interests of the band members. Lamitie has been playing professionally since 1971, Poupore joined the group in the fall of 2009. Bish became a member in December of 2012 and Reome joined the band in October of 2015.

We are influenced by the music of: Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Russell Smith, Steve Earle, Jimmy Page, David Gilmour, and others.

The band creates and arranges music that tells a story or has some sort of meaning to our listening audience. We hope that people walk away from our performances feeling satisfied that our music was an uplifting experience for them.

In 2010 and 2014, “The Lou Dacques Band” traveled to the North Country Public Radio studios in Canton, New York to record many of their original songs.

The band has performed throughout the North County at festivals, colleges, private events, weddings, and clubs.

We have performed for: The Malone Art Festival, For Art’s Sake, St. Lucia’s Café, Donovan’s Steak & Ale, North Country Community College Concert Series, Childstock Music Festival, Foothills Art Society, The Malone Arsenal Green Gazebo Music Series, Blueseed Gallery (Saranac Lake), Food Pantry Benefit (Saranac Lake), Dicks Country Store and Music Oasis, the Potsdam Summer Festival 2014 and 2015 and Pouring Lights Studio.
